Amethyst Half-Sphere with Druse and Banded Agate

The crystals of the half-sphere, which emerge from the translucent agate, are both clear and matt. Some are coated with calcite or oxidised iron ore. The opening makes this amethyst half-sphere all the more special, for with its small crystals it looks like the mouth of a shark.

The half-sphere has grown together seamlessly from amethyst, clear quartz and agate. They suit and harmonise with each other very well.

1. The front view with the amethyst is beautiful, through the lilac and the mouth-like form of the sphere.
2. The rounded agate side offers a landscape of druses and lines.
3. The sphere can be placed on a lamp, as its various minerals light up beautifully.
