Description
The amethyst druse on its stand has a most intriguing form, home to several larger calcites. Further younger generations of calcite, which only come into their own in the light and so enchant the whole druse, sit on the larger double-terminated calcites. The amethyst crystals are violet, partly with a grey tone reaching to the agate rim.

Our mineralogist's assessment
The combination with the calcites and this fantastical form makes the amethyst a representative piece on its stand. Closer observation of this masterpiece is fascinating, for the connection between the large and younger calcites and the violet amethyst crystals, darker in places, is rather rare.
- It is a work of art, not a simple druse.
- The calcites form a contrast with the amethysts.
- The young calcite generation raises the value of the druse.

Origin and selection
Every piece is personally reviewed and selected by the house — by colour, form, crystal habit and above all rarity. We state an origin only where it is documented.
Every piece is reviewed by us; its colour is untreated and undyed. Where a piece has been cut, polished or mounted, we declare this openly in the technical record. Certificate wording and provenance documents are confirmed with the house before publication.
