Description

On a druse fragment stands a cactus amethyst surrounded by amethyst crystals. It is often mistakenly called a stalactite. What stands out here is the dark colouring of the amethyst crystals, forming a beautiful contrast with the mother rock and the agate between them.

Mineral Amethyst

Origin Uruguay

Our mineralogist's assessment
The cactus amethyst, also known as cactus quartz, rarely grows in a form like this one. That makes this specimen not only extraordinary but also much loved.
  1. Extremely beautiful violet.
  2. An extraordinary form.
  3. Very beautiful crystals.

Bashkim Asani, founder of the Mineralienzentrum, examines and describes every piece personally.

Origin and selection

Every piece is personally reviewed and selected by the house — by colour, form, crystal habit and above all rarity. We state an origin only where it is documented.

Every piece is reviewed by us; its colour is untreated and undyed. Where a piece has been cut, polished or mounted, we declare this openly in the technical record. Certificate wording and provenance documents are confirmed with the house before publication.

Yes. We carry genuine natural crystals only. Every piece is reviewed by our mineralogist; any working such as cutting or polishing is openly declared.

Is this piece one of a kind?

Is a certificate available?

On request we issue a confirmation from the house for any piece. Please contact us before your purchase.

Can I request more photos or a video?

Gladly. Via “Request more images” we will send you personal photos or a short video of the piece.

Can I reserve a piece?

Yes. Send a reservation request and we will hold the piece for you and get back to you personally within a short time.

How is it delivered?

Carefully packed and shipped insured — or collect your piece from us in Rheineck. Details are in the shipping section.

How do I care for my crystal?

Most pieces enjoy light, air and an occasional rinse with clear water; prolonged direct sun can alter colours. We are happy to advise on the individual piece.
